Long Term General Surgeon Opportunity – Any State License Accepted
Specialty:  Board Certified or  Board Eligible General Surgeon
Client:  Veterans Affairs
Location: Fayetteville, AR
Dates coverage is needed:  Approx start date early Aug – 1 year (min 6 months commitment rqr’d)
Schedule/Shifts Times:  Monday – Friday, 8a – 4:30p
Call Requirements: 1:2 rotation
Patient Volume:  8-10 patients per day average
Patient Ages:  Adults only
Types of Cases: upper and lower endos, Appendectomies, Hernias (no hearts or heads)
Support Staff: yes – Specialty Physicians on staff (Anesthesiologist, Emergency Medicine, Gastro, etc), NP & PA’s, RN’s
Type of Charting: EMR –CPRS (VAMC EMR System)
Requirements:  BLS, ACLS (through American Heart), DEA (fee paid, schedules 2-5)
Reason for Need: staff shortage
Credentialing Timeframe:  4-6 weeks on average
