3.0T MRI Site Prep
We served as the Prime Contractor, with 18% of the work self-performed, to successfully prepare the site for a new GE 3.0T MRI machine at the Minneapolis VA Health Care System. This $2.21 million project, executed from February 2022 to February 2023, involved extensive renovations and system upgrades to ensure a seamless integration with existing systems while maintaining operational status throughout construction. The project involved the site preparations for a new VA-purchased GE 3.0T MRI machine at the Minneapolis VA Health Care System. Renovations included a 2,100 sqft MRI Suite comprising a Holding Room, Control Room, MRI Equipment Room, Clean Linen Room, MRI Pen Panel Closet, MRI Medical Gas Closet, and MRI Room. Additional construction scopes included demolition, structural steel framing, rough carpentry, solid surface fabrications, roofing, waterproofing, firestopping, joint sealants, doors/frames/hardware, metal stud framing, drywall, ACT, resilient flooring, painting, manufactured wood casework, RF shielding, fire suppression, plumbing, medical gas, HVAC, TAB, electrical, communications, access control, lighting controls, fire alarm, mass notification, earthwork, decorative metal fence and gates, and plantings.
